Dennis Evans is the Managing Tax Attorney at Dayes Law Firm. Dennis joined Dayes Law Firm over 10 years ago after gaining experience at another firm and has extensive experience in different areas of the law, particularly in working on tax cases for his clients. Although tax work may seem boring to some, Dennis has learned to thrive in this area by successfully helping resolve his client’s cases with a unique perspective and a compassionate approach to their legal needs.

Dennis was raised in Northern California and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento. After earning his Bachelor’s degree, he attended law school at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he ultimately earned his Juris Doctorate.

After obtaining his Juris Doctorate, Dennis continued at USD and earned his LL.M.- Master of Laws in Taxation there as well. The Graduate Tax Program at the University of San Diego School of Law is widely considered one of the best of its kind in the nation, and Dennis is a proud alumnus of the illustrious program. While in the program, Dennis had the opportunity to learn from experienced professors and practitioners in the tax field, and it was there that he first began to represent clients under the tutelage of various tax professionals.

Dennis is licensed in California and is limited to federal practice outside of the state. This includes work in front of the IRS, Social Security Administration, and other federal agencies.

Dennis has helped clients resolve their tax-related issues with both the IRS and state-level tax organizations and has represented both individuals and businesses when resolving their tax problems. He has assisted clients with issues ranging from audits of income taxes, worker classification concerns, Installment Agreements, Offers in Compromise, and other tax-related matters.

Over the years, Dennis has learned that every client and their situation is unique and requires an individual touch in order to see the problem through. He is fond of saying every case is a puzzle and the best part of putting a puzzle together is getting to the end and seeing the results. Few things make Dennis happier than taking every client’s puzzle and putting it together, and that challenge inspires him every day and motivates him to be the best attorney he can be.

When he is not in the office, Dennis can be found spending time with his wife and four children. He and his wife have been married for nearly 20 years and even though they have known each other since they were kids, there is no one else he would rather spend his time with.

Dennis enjoys taking the time to coach his sons on the ball field and helping them find their own success, just as he has in the field of tax law. He appreciates almost all outdoor activities and can often be found camping, riding his bike, or just being out and about in nature and the community.
